I’m Emma, I’m a PhD student in Environmental Health Sciences at the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health.
I received a BA from Wesleyan University in 2012, an MSPH from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in 2019, and started my PhD at Columbia in the fall of 2020. Throughout my career I’ve worked in school, hospital, and non-profit settings in the US and abroad, in health education and public health program implementation as well as clinical and community-based research. My research interests include infectious disease dynamics and modeling, wastewater surveillance, global disease control, climate, and health equity.
When I’m not working on my PhD research, you might find me sword dancing, morris dancing, contra dancing, or working on various craft projects.
